Know the ones you are working with, you deal with humans, not entities. Make an effort to create real connections, know their family, their talents, their faults. Find where they shine, what they do best.
Might sound like cliche, but when humans know each other, they will solve problems together and understand each other. Treat your peer as humans, not just cogs in a machine. Find ways to connect, a coffee, go for a a run together.
I like offloading, so whenever possible, I take people offloading and we spend at least 3 hours together talking about live, the universe and everything else… breaking the barrier of work and getting closer to friendship. Find some way to create meaningful connections with the ones around you.
You don’t need to like everyone you work with, but it’s good to know and understand them, what matters to them, what they are looking for, what they aim for their life.
It can be harder when working fully remote, make sure you spend sometime talking about your weekend, your dog, your kids, their dog, their kids. Do you like RPG? Find time to play together. Find a way to break the colleague barrier.
